Sunday evening after work I rushed home to change into my overalls so I could meet up with a few friends down at Mom and Dad's farm. Mom and Dad had a great little bonfire going by the cabin perfect for roasting hot dogs and marshmallows. We picked out some pumpkins for carving later after dinner. Mom and Dad planted a lot less Pumpkins this year but they still had way more than they needed. So I thought I might help them out and take some off their hands. Megan and I ran to the store to pick up hot dogs and chili for dinner and a few different types of Harvest beer. By the time we got back most every one else had showed up. We sat around the fire on hay bales and roasted our hot dogs and laughed at Joshua and Wesley arguing about the ridiculous size of Transformers. There was no holding back the banter or the laughter. Soon we were full and ready to tackle our pumpkins. We lost half our group to the ol' I have to get up in the morning for work routine. The rest of us went up to Our place and started on our masterpieces. Wesley helped me make rice crispy treats and Hot apple cider with Spiced Rum. As you can see we had a great time carving pumpkins. Joshua some how made it all the way through child hood with out carving a pumpkin. This was his very first time. He decided he wanted his pumpkin to look like Cartman from South Park. His pumpkin turned out really cute.
It was a good old fashion fun night.
