We pretty much had the whole beach to our selves... It's a good thing cause we take up a lot of space! I think there was 22 of us plus 5 Dogs.

Every year the Sturgeon family tries to meet somewhere in the middle and spend a week together. Last year it was in Joseph Oregon in September, the year before that it was in Mccall Idaho in December. This year we met in Lincoln City Oregon in October. We rented a big house by the ocean. Our first full day we went to the beach. The kids had a great time flying kites and building sand castles. The dogs never once stopped chasing each others tails, and I took big deep breaths of salty air closed my eyes and felt the wind on my face and in my hair and listened intently to the waves crashing on the shore. I love the ocean. It was fun to watch my little dogs run around on the beach. Joshua was like a proud papa. He is total mush with Koda. That little dog melt his heart like a popsicle on a hot summer day. We spent several hours on the beach and then headed back to the house so we could start dinner. Every one took a day to cook. On our day Joshua made his famous California scramble and For dinner he made one of our favorite creations. You know those night's you take every thing in your fridge and make magic happen in the kitchen? Well Joshua makes these I guess egg roll things that are awesome! They were a hit. Every night we would set the kids up with a movie and the adults would gather in the upstairs TV room to watch a section of Laugh your way to a better marriage seminar. After that we would spend some time in prayer together as a family and then turn in for the night. It was a great way to end our day's together. Joshua and I both felt like we learned a lot. It was good.
